Lois Calamusa, LCMHC, LPC

Lois Calamusa is a licensed therapist in North Carolina & Mississippi. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University.

Lois began her career working for a relationship education program where she helped military couples and families strengthen their bonds. Before founding Cala Relationship Counseling, LLC, Lois served as the Behavioral Health Director at a comprehensive care center in Asheville, NC. She has also worked as a crisis clinician and as the Director of Suicide Prevention and Wellness Initiatives for a large non-profit in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Lois completed her clinical internship with an LGBTQ+ serving organization, where she deepened her commitment to identity-affirming care.

Lois has worked in the mental health field since 2010 and has always been driven by a genuine passion for helping others. She has supported diverse populations across many clinical settings, with a constant guiding principle: strong, healthy interpersonal relationships are essential to lasting emotional well-being. This insight guides her approach to therapy today.

Lois currently lives on the Gulf Coast with her husband and their beloved dog, Penny.
